To all the Diamonds families:

This year our club is participating in an exciting event called “Sports Day in Canada”It is chance to promote our club and bring in new potential athletes to try our program.We will be holding this event on Wed Sept 26^th from 4:30-6. We are inviting our Development program athletes to bring in a friend & have a fun time trying out our sport J We are looking at swimmers 6yrs of age and up.

So mark this date on your calendars and look for the notices in file folders.

August 27, 2012 is the annual Information Night for the Nanaimo Diamonds Synchronized Swim Club. Infomation regarding the 2012 – 2013 synchro season will be presented.

The Information Night will take place at the Nanaimo Aquatic Center from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

Hey Everyone,

What an amazing weekend for the Summer games girls. They swam their hearts out and it really showed in their results. We received a Gold Medal for our team, Gold for the trio, Silver for the Solo and Bronze for the duet. Maya Scott-Bradley also won a bronze medal for Level 2/3 figures. I really appreciate all their hard work and dedication. We all had so much fun at the games with the opening ceremony’s, competition and the dances. This was an amazing experience for the girls and also for the coaches. I will always remember how much fun we had and all of the goals we achieved.

The BC Games Are This Weekend!!!

Our Zone 6 swimmers have been working hard preparing for the BC Summer Games….they have spent many hours training in the pool, on the deck and at the gym getting ready for the big event in Surrey this weekend. Their routines have been polished, and it all came to a head last weekend at their pre-Games water show at Beban. They all looked fantastic!

The Island Zone 6 Team is coached by Becky Edwards and Melissa Pirart, and they have done a wonderful job getting our athletes ready for the BC Games…thank you! As demonstrated by their dedication and work ethic over the past month the team will be wonderful ambassadors for Vancouver Island.
